Hunan Beef Recipe


This is a great, hot and spicy beef recipe.


Ingredients:

3/4 lb. Beef Flank Steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 Egg White

1 Tbsp. Cornstarch

2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp. Szechwan Paste

1 1/2 tsp. Cornstarch

1/2 tsp. Sugar

Sesame Oil

2 Garlic Cloves, minced

4 Tbsp. Oil

1 large bunch Broccoli

1/8 tsp. Salt

2 Beef Bouillon

1/4 Cup Red Wine

1/2 Cup Water

1 bunch Green Onions


Directions:

In a bowl, combine the beef, egg white, and cornstarch, and set aside.


In another bowl, mix the chili paste and soy sauce, and blend the 1 1/2 tsp. of cornstarch, sesame oil, garlic, and sugar.


In a wok, heat 2 Tbsp. of oil, and stir-fry the meat, half at a time, for 2 minutes, adding more oil if needed.  Return all the meat to the wok, and add the sauce mixture, and stir-fry until it has thickened.


Remove the meat, and clean out the wok.  Heat the remaining oil, and stir-fry the green onions for 2 minutes.  Add the broccoli, bouillon, wine, water, and salt and stir-fry for 45 seconds.


Serve the beef and vegetables over rice.
