Crab Rangoon Recipe


Crab + cream cheese = fried heaven.


Ingredients:

1/4 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil

1/2 Tbsp. Onion, minced

1/4 Garlic Clove, minced

1/2 Tbsp. Pea Pods, chopped

1/4 Head Bok Choy, chopped

1/4 package (8 oz. size) Cream Cheese, softened

1/4 can (6 oz. size) Crab Meat

1/4 Tbsp. Soy Sauce

1/4 package (14 oz. size) Won-Ton Wrappers

Vegetable Oil for frying


Directions:

In a wok, heat the vegetable oil.  Add the onion and garlic and sauté for 2 minutes.


Add the pea pods and bok choy, and stir-fry until they are tender.


Combine the cream cheese, crab, soy sauce, and sautéed vegetable mixture in a bowl.  Place about 3/4 tsp. into the center of a won-ton wrapper, wet the edges of the wrapper, and fold the wrapper into a triangle, and press to seal closed.


Melt 3” of shortening in a work over medium-high heat.  Fry 3 wontons at a time, until they are crisp and lightly brown.


Cook Time:  30 minutes

Yield:  12 wontons
