Beef Lo Mein Recipe


Beef, it’s what’s for dinner.


Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Seasoned Rice Vinegar

1/2 tsp. Ground Ginger

1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder

1/4 Cup Soy Sauce

2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil

1 lb. Sirloin Steak, cut in thin strips

2 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil

1 1/2 Cups small Broccoli Flowerets (fresh or frozen)

8 oz. fresh Mushrooms, sliced

1 large Onion, cut into wedges

1/2 small Yellow Bell Pepper, cut in thin strips

1/2 small Red Bell Pepper, cut in thin strips

1 tsp. Beef Base or Bouillon

1 Cup Cold Water

2 Tbsp. Cornstarch

1/2 lb. Spaghetti or Linguine, cooked


Directions:

Combine the vinegar, ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce, and oil in a medium bowl.  Add the beef, and cover, to marinate in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.


Heat 2 Tbsp. of oil, in a wok.  Add the beef mixture and the broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes.  Add the mushrooms, onion, and peppers until tender.


Blend the bouillon, water, and cornstarch, in a small bowl.  Add to the beef in the wok, and cook until thickened.  Add the cooked spaghetti, and toss until thoroughly mixed.
